Peculiar Things

Hello there, everyone! Today I'm gonna be talking about peculiar things! One of the most peculiar things that I have in my room right now is a can of Izze that I'm using as a vase for some purple flowers. What I like about it is it looks really cool and it's unique. It's also really colorful.
Another peculiar thing that I saw a few days ago is a white truck with "El Gato" graffitied onto it in gray spray paint. I think it's really cool and unique.
Take a look around where you live and see if you can find any peculiar things that really make you happy. I know I did with the El Gato truck! (That's what I call it now.)

Breakfast

So, when I wake up on a school day, people except me to eat the normal before school breakfast: cereal.
I. HATE. CEREAL. SO. MUCH.
I really don't like eating anything but certain kinds of cereal, and sometimes I don't even feel like eating those kinds! I like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Apple Jacks, and Fruity Pebbles. It's like I can only eat all the sugary cereals that are really bad for you.
I prefer to make my breakfast in the morning. Like eggs, and toast. Or waffles and strawberrys. Or pancakes. But not cereal.
What do you guys think? Would you rather have cereal or a pop tart in the morning? Or a yummy breakfast like eggs, waffles, toast, or pancakes? Comment!

Thanksgiving

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been on for a while. Cool thing about being behind on posts, though, is that now I have a bunch of things to fill you guys in on! Including a few holidays! My birthday was just a few weeks ago and it was super fun! I got tons of awesome presents! But the bad thing about getting a TON of presents is that you have to write a TON of thank you notes! NOT. FUN. Not that I'm not thankful for my presents, but I just don't wanna write a bunch of thank you notes while I'm on break!
Speaking of break, yesterday was THANKSGIVING! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it's basically a holiday that revolves around FOOD! And EATING! Which are two of my most favorite things! My Thanksgiving was pretty awesome this year. There was some really yummy stuff. My two favorites were pumpkin pie and sweet potato casserole. You know me, I have quite a big sweet tooth.

Moving In

I recently got a new house. This is very exciting, except for the part where we have to move in.
We have already sorted out all of the house except for the furniture in my brother and I's rooms.
My mom and I just went to Ikea about a week ago, and it was all really awesome except that you have to build Ikea furniture yourself, and it can be pretty hard. And we still have the painting to do. And decorating. I still really like the house though.

I'm so happy it's the weekend! My Aunt Beth is visiting and she's super fun! We are making tons of awesome stuff together, including some bakery treats like pumpkin pie and pumpkin whoopie pies! (I love whoopie pies!)

I woke up this morning, to the sound of my alarm, which isn't that bad because my alarm is a radio, so it just wakes me up with my favorite songs in the morning! But anyway, I'm really sad because the weekend is over, because I love the weekend! But now it's Monday. Bleh. And when I woke up, Last Friday Night (TGIF) was on and it made me feel even worse, especially when my dad came in and started going, "TGIM TGIM TGIM!" So I said that there was no such thing as TGIM.
Moral of the story, Mondays SUCK.

Hello people! I'm a little bit dissapointed with myself because I haven't made a post in like a WHOLE MONTH OR MORE! It's sad. So that explains the title.
Some things I have done in the long period of time that I haven't been posting are:
Going to my friend's grandparent's house on the river. (Where I tubed and hurt myself, but still had a whole lot of fun fun fun!)
Stayed in California for a little while longer. (Where I went to a place called Mt.Shasta! It was really cool! And while we were there we hiked a HUGE mountain called the Black Butte! Not as big as Mt.Shasta, of course.)
Came back home from California and hung out with friends!

That pretty much sums it up. I'm back in school now, (SUMMER'S OVER!!! BLEH,) and there are some German exchange students at my school for the German class! (I take Latin, so I don't got no German exchange students, but I might go to Rome!)

I'll hopefully make more frequent posts now that summer's over, so keep on reading! (AND COMMENTING.)

California Fair

Today I went to a fair! It was fun, except for the fact that it was SUPER DUPER HOT outside. There were food stands, one of which had fried twinkies. (Gross.) We went on rides, including The Scrambler, which would have been a lot more fun if there wasn't a lady in the car next to us who was about to throw up the whole time. I also went on a roller coaster, which I don't usually go on, but it wasn't the extreme kind I avoid. It was just a roller coaster that was moderately fast with some spins and sharp turns. I also won a DOMO!!! At a prize stand. All I had to do was throw a dart at balloons and pop them! So I recommend you go to fair if you see one! They are a lot of fun! And get a churro!

I went shopping in Florida while we were driving back to New Orleans, and I spotted something really awesome. PooPooPaper.
I know how it sounds. Why would anyone write on something made of poo? But it's so AWESOME! PooPooPaper is the name of a company who makes paper out of elephant poo. It's good for a lot of reasons. Some of them are that it's good for the environment, and another is that even though it's made of poo, it doesn't smell! Here's the link to my poo poo paper note card box. Vacation.

I'm still on vacation, but on my last post about my summer adventures to California, I forgot to mention that I'm also going to two other places. New Orleans and Florida.
Now at this point, you are thinking, WOW! NEW ORLEANS, FLORIDA, AND CALIFORNIA? HOW CAN A POOR, INNOCENT GIRL LIKE YOU TAKE SUCH VACATION? WONT YOU MISS YOUR FRIENDS? YOUR HOUSE? AREN'T YOU TIRED OF THE CONSTANT PLANE RIDES AND ROAD TRIPS? Or maybe you aren't thinking that. Maybe that's just my emotions pretending to be yours. But, all the same, I think that makes sense.
I am in New Orleans right now, after I have been here before, then went on a road trip to Florida, went on a road trip back to New Orleans, and after dinner, some Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, breakfast, a ride in the street car, exploring in the French Quarter, coming back to my grandma's house, plopping down on the bed and turning on my laptop, I give you this finished post.

Summer Madness.

This summer, I am going to be in California. Now most people would think that would be a great vacation! Well, it isn't. Unfortunatley, my summer vacation will actaully last the WHOLE SUMMER and I won't get to see any of my friends until school starts back up. Now, don't get me wrong, California is a great place! A lot of my relatives and friends are here, and I'm having a good time, but I don't want to spend my whole summer in the same place. And, I will also have to fly to New Orleans in the middle of the California vacation, from there drive to Florida, drive back to New Orleans, and then fly back to California where I'll spend the rest of my summer. Do you see the madness? The crazyness? The absolute stupidity? Because I do. But I'm having fun so far, and the weather is nice. We will just have to see how this whole thing turns out.

So Easter is tomorrow, and I have my Cake Pops book that has some GREAT Easter themed recipes. I decided to make chicks that are REALLY ADORABLE and REALLY EASY!!! Basically, all you do is make the standard cake balls and cover them in yellow chocolate coating with lollipop sticks attatched. Then, you just decorate it to look like a chick. They are super adorable looking and I can't wait to make them later today. They are really festive for the Easter theme and really tasty. Can't wait to try them!!!!

Harry Potter: My obsession.

HARRY POTTER IS MY LIFE!!! I am totally obsessed with it. And I can not WAIT to see the new movie for it coming out, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2! I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 for my birthday party, (November 15th), and it is the AWESOMEST thing ever. It's out on DVD now finally and I'm so happy. I wanna buy it RIGHT NOW. And now I just found out that theres a Harry Potter thing out (sort of like a convention) called the Leaky Con. And I want to go SO BAD. Buzz works again! It only took about a day to review my profile. But now, whenever I try to change my name again, it almost does the SAME thing and then I have to hastily hit cancel before I have to wait ANOTHER day to check my Buzz or have a Buzz at all. Problems with Gmail Buzz

A few months ago, my parents finally let me get a gmail account, an email service powered by Google. The reason I wanted one was because all of my friends got one and it is a really good email service.

On Gmail, there is a program called Buzz. It is sort of like Facebook or Twitter. You post things and people comment on them. You have followers, etc. So today I went on Buzz and I posted something saying, "the first person to comment on this post gets to be my profile picture for a week, the second person to comment gets to choose my status, and I have to use your last name for a week if you are the third person to comment."

So my friend commented third, so I went to my profile and said edit so that I could change my last name to hers instead of mine. When I finished doing this, a thing popped up saying that I was violating the Community Standards of Gmail or something! And I looked at the Community Standards, and it didn't look like I had violated anything.

So now my Buzz account is being reviewed to see if it is safe or something. I don't know what I did wrong, but if it finds something then I will be banned from Gmail, or Buzz I'm not sure. But right now while they are still reviewing it, I can't comment or post on Buzz, I have no name, no followers, and no profile picture. It's like everything has been wiped out of my Buzz account! (Which it probably has.)

So if this has ever happened to you, please tell me what I am supposed to do. I don't know how long it will take for them to review my account, but I hope not long because I really like Buzz and I don't want to get banned from it. I'm still not even sure what happened in the first place. Ugh.

MALL

The mall is a fun place to go if you feel like looking around cool shops. In my area, we have a mall called Pentagon City Mall. My friends and I have been planning to go there for a while. We finally went yesterday and it was really fun. My friend and I shopped around at a ton of different stores and bought a few things. So if you ever get a chance to go to your local mall, then do that! They are really great for spending time with friends, or just having fun shopping!

Texting

So I finally got a phone this Christmas and ever since then I have been a TEXTING MACHINE! I text all the time. But it's unlimited, so most people wouldn't think of this as a problem. Except for my mom. My mom thinks that I should stop texting so much. BOO HOO!

So today I had no homework except for Latin. So I was all happy because I only had one thing to do. But then I realized that my Latin homework is REALLY HARD! So it actually took me forever to finish. Homework is a common annoyance. I mean, why do work at home when you just spent forever doing it at school?! School is for learning. Home is for relaxing. So I get really ticked off when I have tons of homework. It annoys me a lot. So if you also don't like homework, then actually LOOK AT MY BLOG. Because not many people do. Ok bye bye. :)

YouTube. One of the most popular websites on the internet. It's full of videos from around the world that are entertaining to watch. Some of my favorite YouTubers are charlieissocoollike, nigahiga, and reallyannoyingorange. I don't know very many YouTubers, but I get a lot of them off my brother who is obsessed with YouTube. Charlieissocoollike makes a video pretty much every week and they have to do usually with just random vlogs or Challenge Charlie's where he does crazy things people challenge him to do. Nigahiga does random funny videos like movies in minutes, where they do funny versions of popular movies. They also do lots of spoofs of popular songs. Reallyannoyingorange is something I am sure you all heard of. It includes a lot of talking fruit and one incredibly annoying orange. So after looking at all of these awesome videos I have been more and more inspired to make my own. I have made a lot of pretty funny videos using iMovie. I really want to make a YouTube account so that I can share these videos and maybe get popular. One of my best friends has a YouTube account that is really good. But the problem is I don't know if my parents will let me show my face on YouTube anyway. So we will have to see the outcome of this.

Annoying Everyday TV Problems

So I was on my laptop since I woke up this morning at 6:50 (I'm an early riser) and when I have done everything I can possibly think of on my laptop, I decide to go downstairs. Now by this time it is about 8:30 so I have been on my laptop for like an hour and a half. By the way, things I do on my laptop are usually looking at charlieissocoollike's channel on YouTube, going on Ourworld, checking my gmail account, and making blogs. Sometime I also go on the website for Nickelodean so that I can watch full length episodes of my favorite shows on there like iCarly. So I get bored of my laptop and I decide to head downstairs to watch TV. However, when I turn on the TV and flick through the channels until I reach Nickelodean, Spongebob is on. I change it to Disney Channel. Handy Manny is on and Mickey Mouse Club House is coming up next. This is something that happens in the morning until about 10 which is when they think most people my age get up. So early morning TV on some kid channels is NOT A GOOD CHOICE. So I will try and find something else to do. Bye bye! :)

Bored.

Now, being bored is a common thing in a preteen's (like my) life. But when it happens A LOT to you (like me) then you might get a little mad. Or a lot mad. Like me. Because it seems for most weekends or Fridays I have had nothing to do. Like last weekend I tried and tried to get a sleepover and I finally got one and it was DISASTOROUS. The person who came over got sick in my bed and then had to go home in the middle of the night. I DO NOT want that to happen again. But here I am again, sitting at home on my computer with absolutley no plans on how I am going to spend my weekend. I tried to call my friend and I texted her and I got no reply. I then tried to call another friend. No reply. Again. This seems like a pattern. So until I can call someone and actually hear a voice on the other end, then I will be on my laptop, listening to the happy voices of my brother and his best friend having fun in the room next door. So. I bid you good night.

So I am waiting and waiting and WAITING to watch American Idol. My grandpa and my brother are talking and it is taking forever and now my dad is saying that we won't be able to watch American Idol if we can't hurry up. So in the meantime I made a blog. That's how much I've been waiting. If any of you are wondering, my favorite American Idol person is probably Casey Abrams. Hes super awesome and I love his raspy voice!!!! I also like Lauren Alaina and Jacob Lusk. He's really good. So watch American Idol! Because IT ROCKS!

Cake balls!

For Christmas I got an awesome present. I found a book in the store called Cake Pops, by Bakerella. It is a recipe book that has fun and creative cake decorating techniques. I enjoy baking, so as soon as I opened the book I immediatly begged my parents for the ingredients required. I made great cake balls that were very tasty. I had them in my lunch and for after school snacks almost every day until before I knew it we had ran out and none of the amazing cake balls were waiting for me on the counter when I got home.
